I've been struggling with a problem on my main user account for a while - I had occasion to restore my user data, and while doing so, also restored my email directory tree. Since I did this, and although the restore process ran cleanly, I have found that I am not getting new email notifications on my desktop client (Evolution) nor on Webmail (I know that uw-imap can't cope with two simultaneous clients accessing it, but this issue occurs when only a single client is running).
I am not having this issue on any other account on the box, so it would seem to be related to something being broken when I restored the email tree for this account. Is there a configuration option that can be changed, or another process that I can run, to resolve this?
Would deleting and recreating the account and restoring its files resolve this?
