6.0b3 server running. LDAP made available for world. I cfg'd my mozilla mail client at remote site to see LDAP service @SME box back at the house (6.0 server referred to in this msg) - works like a champ. ;) So now the question is this: I have a lot of (most actually) e-mail addresses in various e-mail programs who *aren't* users on my sme box. Is there a means of publishing (exporting a local mozilla address book for example) addresses to my sme box?? This would be great if I could, because I could then truly have a centralized mailbox. I know that I can store addresses in the web interface - but I prefer NOT to use that as it isn't nearly as fast as imap. I ~do~ use it mind you - but only if/when req'd...

.... foot stuck in mouth. A little searching here turned up some hits... haven't found a definitive "how-to" yet (if there is one - looking like no though... ) If you know to the contrary - I'm all ears! ;)
Sorry folks about asking first w/out looking... ( but I am still asking... ! )

Just wondering what you found out so far. I have been following some old tutorials, and generally just thrashing around wildly in the hopes that something will snap in to place :)
What have you tried so far? I've been working with perl-ldap, but am having trouble getting it to bind to the ldap server atm.

I suspect everyone wants a centralized LDAP contact list...

Ok, so I've been making some progress with this, so far got a LDAP server with a web page that allows you to add more users to it.
I've been using Daniel Tan's HOWTO on the whole thing. I think the main problem I encountered was just how complicated the whole LDAP structure is, so knowing what to type where :)
Now of course, this is where a new HOWTO might come in handy, so I promise that if I am successful I shall post one... post haste :)
