Does anyone know where I can get a list of the tape backup units compatible with SME 6? I use to have a list back in the 4.1.2 days but can't find it anymore and hopefully there are more units added to the list?
I've searched the forum and checked the Mitel site for docs but no luck.
Thanks, appreciate it.

Just noticed that that on he Mitel site, the 6000 MAS datasheet says the tape backup should be SCSI. I was planning on using IDE. Does anyone have IDE tape backup unit working with 6? Howe many gig is it?
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Graig,
I have a GP Colorado 8Gb working under 6,and the Onstream DI-30 the last one needs doem file-editting but that ain't a big problem.
But tapedrives are ide and work with flexbackup.

People warned me off but I have used Seagate Travan (TR5) IDE drives (ST22000 series) and both worked fine - and yes, I have actually
done restores with them too :)

We use IDE Travan drives (20Gb and 40Gb) as well as VXA-1, VXA-2 drives. Tapeware does good job of handling them.

I've got a DI-30 (onstream) running on IDE. It's listed as incompatible on the Redhat site, but there are guides on e-smith (may have been moved to contribs now theough) on how to get it running. You can pick up a DI-30 for about £20 on ebay.
I have used the drive to restore in the past. Works like a dream.
