Title: Multidrop - retrieval problems
Post by: Marc Dezutter on June 21, 2001, 01:13:46 PM
Hi,

I've started working with e-smith after hearing about it. The setup we wants accomplished is this, we have one central e-smith server at our company and we want to use multidrop so we can create as many users as needed.
But what happends sending email OK, email retrieval NOT OK, even filled in the header Delivered-To and all the possible headers but still no response.

The e-smith server could not download any email from my multidrop mailbox. I'm also a newbie so please forgive any mistakes in any of the terms or whatever I used.

If anyone can help that would greatly appreciated. Thank you or anyone in advance.

You can create as many users as needed without multidrop.

Can users on your local network receive email from other users on the local network?

What do the logs say?  (Login to the e-smith server as root, and you can view the system log by typing 'less /var/log/messages' -- use the arrow keys/page up/down keys to view the log.)

Is this email an email that has been successfully retrieved?
