Title: SME 6.0 Mapping of Shares
Post by: Craig on December 11, 2003, 11:38:10 AM
Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody else has had a problem with either SME 5.6 or 6.0 with the mapping of shares via the netlogon.bat file on SME.

I installed a new server yesturday in a mixed network of Win98/2K/XP clients and they all are logging into the domain ok and were mapping drives directly to the files folder contained in the IBAY. But today for some reason I am now seeing upon login the files, cgi-bin and html folders and no longer is mapping directly to the files folder.

This can be a pain for users to double click on an "X drive" for eample and then click the files folder to save their data.

I am using SME6.0b3 with latest updates installed.

Anybody got any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Craig

Check that "Public access via web or anonymous ftp" is set to "No access" for ibays that you want to be mapped directly to the "files" directory.

Derek

Thanks for the info I will check that when I visit the site tomorrow and now that you mention it I think I change that setting on the Ibays and that must have caused my grief.

Thanks for your help.
