hi!
i did an upgrade from SME 5.6 to 6.0 and forgot to remove the contribution rpms port forwarding and port opening before doing so..
now the port forwarding panel in server-manager doesn't work. the panel appears, i can add/remove ports, but after pressing "submit" the old state appears again.
a port opening panel i cannot find at all.
i already reinstalled e-smith-portforwarding-0.2.0-02.noarch.rpm without success.
is there a clean way to reinstall these modules (and the related server-manager panels) without reinstalling the whole server?

i just realize, that i cannot add/remove users and groups too, so maybe it's more a problem of the server-manager than the configuration modules..

my hint for you:
do a backup of your user-date and configs.
then make a fresh install of SME 6.
many people reported problems after an upgrade from 5.6 to 6.x.
with a fresh install you will have no holdover from the old installation and it works.

i would really like to avoid this..
it's just not necessary, linux, and SME particularly, are well structured and transparent, you normally just don't need to reinstall completely like in windowsland..
besides, it's to late, i wouldn't trust the data i need to backup for a reinstall.. there must be an easier way..

minor question: What browser are you using?
If i use Opera v7 with server-manager. I can't activate the "save" buttons.
just a minor thoughed.

You don't want or need one.

Remove any portforwarding RPMs, and any port-forwarding related custom templates, then "upgrade" using your 6.0 CD.
