Title: Iptables dropping outgoing vpn connections.
Post by: Jacob bager on January 16, 2004, 12:35:11 AM
Hello

I've one of those people who always wants the new stuff. So i installed the E-Smith6.0 beta 3.....

Now im having a problem...

Everytime i try to connect, via vpn through the E-Smith, to work, i times out.

I then monitored my connection with iptraf... And found that the only traffic going from
my ip to the vpn ip at work. IS a GRE packet and a ICMP packet...

The GRE packet is from the ip at Work.. I can see in the iptables conf that it gets denied... Why ? i have zero clue...

The ICMP packet says 'destination unreacable' from my home ip to the work ip.. ?

Is it a bug in the developer release or what  ???

Please advise .
