Title: Intl char´s again
Post by: Lars Thorelius on August 08, 2000, 06:53:04 PM
I have had this subject up before.

I see in your prospects for the future that international versions is quite a way down the list. That´s OK I believe, the English version is the most important. I do wish, however, that e-smith would tolerate international characters in the names of i-bays and in file names in the i-bays even in the English version of e-smith. This would be very appreciated among many users, since e-smith is a good server for backups. I got a tip from a Swedish user on how to manage international characters, so it can be done. Would it be difficult to apply this function as a default?

Best regards
Lars

Adding support for internatioal characters would be perfect - as Lars said, we do not needd a translated version, but adding acceptance for foreign languages (I only think about ä, ü, ö, ß etc being replaced by ? in my mails) would be very nice.
