Title: Secure Http access and PHP extensions
Post by: David on September 09, 2000, 08:55:02 PM
Hi,

It would be great to have a ssl extensions for the web site, so the e-smith interface could be acceded from outside the local network and to have the php extensions for apache (with the comanche configurator).

I have packages to add both SSL and PHP (though SSL isn't very clean at the moment) at http://users3.50megs.com/danb35.  My PHP packages are at version 4.0.1pl2 right now; I haven't gotten around to building RPMs of 4.0.2 yet.  Don't have anything to do with commanche, though (wouldn't that interfere with the e-smith template way of doing things?).

I second that nomination.  We NEED SSL encryption for the web based config.
