It would be nice if e-smith could use winbind to act as a member of a NT domain.
Winbind is nss/pam modules and a caching daemon to get accounting information
from an nt PDC. An article about winbind can be found here:

Thanks for pointing that out. We are aware of winbind, and quite interested, but we aren't sure that it is ready for inclusion in the product yet.
