Title: Akopia permission problem
Post by: Buddy on January 19, 2001, 02:16:15 AM
In order for Akopia to work properly you need to log in as standard user, not as root, if I knew how to bypass the login to get in as anything other than root an RPM would not be difficult to produce.  I am going to try to manually add a user tonight and test it.  If you have tried this before let me know if you have had a similar issue with getting Akopia to work.

I too need to know how to let a user besides root login local.
I am trying to install a dalnet ircd and it is recommended i do this as a non-root user.
