ARKEIA is a fantastic - (but somewhat involved) product. However, the command line interface is just not for end-users.
The WINDOWS client works, but does not have all the functions and buttons of the X client. (A Java limitation, according to ARKEIA)
We have managed to kludge a graphics server onto E-smith 4.1, and using a X emulator on Windows PC's, we get the full X client running under WINDOWS.
Although a full X server is not required, a basic X server on e-smith will be appreciated, to allow the use of X emulators on Windows PC's

Just to clarify (since it is often a source of confusion), you want the X client side,
not the X server - the X server is running on your PCs through an X emulator.
X windows servers typically run on the machine with the display, mouse,
keyboard (i.e. your PC).
We do not have any plans to include X on e-smith at this stage.
