A web based possibility for e-mail users to start and edit their .vacation options.

Yes, that would be great. For now though, check out ftp.neurotic.org/pub/e-smith/e-smith/contrib/DanielvanRaay/ and look for the vacation rpms, which should allow you to manage .vacation from the e-smith manager.
