Title: NFS
Post by: Gord Asimov on April 02, 2001, 03:39:29 AM
Lack of NFS support on a Linux system is a real disappointment. E-smithh seems to fule and encourage the use od Windoze clients by providing only smb support. It would be really cool to see the next release of e-smith with NFS

thanx

There are also few desktop tools which allow SMB browsing from Linux clients.

That said, you can find very basic NIS and NFS support modules in my contrib directory on ftp.e-smith.org

Please note: We still do not plan to support NFS in the product for the reasons mentioned in the FAQ. These are provided in case people find them useful.
