I would love to see some way you can create multiple users simultaneouly. Maybe by reading in a delimited text file formatted in a certain way.
This would take the pain out of creating each user via a slow GUI.
Has there been any consideration for this request in the past?.. I know that most NOS' have some sort of utility to allow this to happen.
thanks

Hi
Your script is very useful.
Could you tell me how we can add users in the e-smith when they exist in our NT domain with a loginids which are already concatenated firstname.lastname as shown below
NT Loginid;Firstname;Lastname;Password;Department
edwina.scott;Edwina;Scott;blah;Telecom
testuser;Test;User;testme;IT
thomas.james;Thomas;James;safeword;Engineering
donald.duck;Donald;Duck;Helpdesk
Thanks for any help

Darrell, maybe you're the one to answer this, since you're an netsourced.com user (:
I'd really like to get that script/howto again, but the page is down at the moment - is that permanent? If so, could someone send me the details please? It's rather urgent.
Cheers,
Greg.

I'm running e-smith on a school, and it's very usefull to be able to add multiple users.
I have a problem with the e-smith-adduser.sh script.
I get an error in line 31 : "fi"
Should the script work with the original e-smith (4.1) installation, or do I need to add anything to make the script work ?
