My E-smith server is fine, win98 clients can log in to it and see their directory shares. It connects to the Internet with ADSL no problem, and we can all see the internal homepage with the browser. Just one problem, the clients can't get out to the Internet. I can't see where in the setup screens or the doc. where this matter is addressed.

Have you set the browsers proxy server or set the workstation to use the E-Smith box as its default gateway ?

Also try setting the Windows machines to use the e-smith box as the DNS server for the network; I hit the same problem before realising that it was a simple name resolution problem - test by 'pinging' an external web site using its numeric address instead of its name (can't just think of one off the top of my head but you can probably find one fairly easily by pinging the name from a working/standalone PC attached to the internet and seeing the IP address listed in brackets)
