Title: server to server vpn

Being able to connect two or more servers in a VPN over the Internet would be nice.
Allowing two LANS at opposite ends to see each other.

Your wish has come true! :-)

This feature is part of ServiceLink -- setting up a VPN across two or more
ServiceLink-enabled servers is simply a matter of choosing which servers are
to belong to the VPN. There's some more information on ServiceLink at

Not as provided by Mitel Networks, no.  But keep in mind that SME Server is
Linux under the hood, though -- there may be VPN solutions for Linux that,
while requiring configuration by hand, may address your needs.

Problem:  You want to enable VPN's under SME5
Solution:  Use this HowTo to activate and configure FreeS/WAN
