What would be nice is if we could stick an internal modem and phone line into the SME Server and be able to receive faxes via PDF in e-mail, on an Intranet page, or a fax store on the SME server. The advantage of this is that you can choose whether you needed to print a hard copy of the fax be viewing its contents first. You could also go back and reprint a fax whenever desired.
Provided you have a scanner on a Windows PC and could send faxes from Windows to the SME server then all the sudden the physical fax machine becomes redundant.
I suspect that would require some software on the Windows side in the form of a printer driver.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Just a quick note... internal modems are *generally* speaking, not good. They tend to be "Winmodems" and therefore
are not usually compatible with SME. Externals are *far* better.
