Title: custom dyndns logins
Post by: d.sweet on July 07, 2001, 04:17:00 AM
with the new custom features at dyndns.org it requires a different script or client to change the dynamic address when the ip address changes - can anyone help with this change?

It's very simple--just edit /sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns/dyndns.org, and on line 20, change the system variable to "custom" instead of "dyndns".

Jeff..
Have a look at the thread

http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=1977.msg6593#msg6593

I covered some of the issues there. You should beable to modify the Perl script there to read your domains file and update dyndns.org there.

It also depends what you have contributed to dyndns.org. If it was more than $30 then you could use CNAME.

Take care
