The addition of a "virtual network' device for the outside world would be nice. Currently I'm having to create a hack to get BT Openworld working with PPPOATM. This is not going to be a clean job as I hacking the pppoe configurations and the standard adsl-* start/stop/status scripts.
If there could be some hook to create a virtual device that then places the basic scritp headers for stop/start/status in a given path then I could go and modify them to accomodate then odd network configurations. I will investigate further on the 'correct' way to do this.
