It won't. The RedHat 2.2.19-7.0.8 kernel did not support more than one Athlon processor, and that's the kernel we currently use.

Hmmm. There you go. Thanks for that Big C!
I seem to have just assumed that my beloved e-smith could do ANYTHING.

Are there plans to update the kernel to a more up to date kernel, say 2.4.x?
I've had the darndest time trying to get my Intel and SMC and Netgear Gigabit NICs to work with e-smith and most of the time it's because the drivers aren't specifically for 2.2.19.
Otherwise, it's quite possibly one of the best pieces of software I've seen in a decade.
Keep up the good work.

Why don't you upgrade your kernel yourself?
I'm planning on upgrading the kernel to some 2.4.x version cause I 'need' some extra video functionality.
Seeing several posts with simalar reactions about waiting for sme-server 5.6 makes me wonder if there are special issues when one's manualy upgrading the kernel

Never mind this question.....
I wasn't thinking......

Is this problem meant to be gone in version 5.6?
Because it doesn't like the Tyan 2466-4M with Dual AMDs
