Title: E-mail for Unknown Users
Post by: Jon Thiele on October 13, 2002, 04:51:25 AM
In the Other E-mail Settings of Server Manager, you can direct E-mail for Unknown Users to either the Admin account or bounce it back to the sender.

I would love to see a third option that would simply drop the e-mail if it is for an unknown user.

Hey I totally agree there! I hate it when I get spam! Though I know you can send stuff to /dev/null, but how? Anyone know?

I agree, Has anyone found an answer? I am running 5.1.2.

In addition to the fake names the spammers are using, I have users that are no longer on the system and their spam garbage keeps arriving...I don't want it to the admin account...and I don't think it makes sense to bounce it back, since they are ignoring/rejecting anyway...I just want it dropped....why waste the retries, processing etc?

any help here is appreciated.
