Is this solution possible with SME server?

As IDE HD is getting so cheap, an Howto would be nice to have for this solution in a SME enviroment.

How about adapting flexbackup to do this?
It seems to me that this would be a good
upgrade for flex, unless there is an alternative
that does this already.
