Im planning a NT to Linux migration, but SME, as far as i've seen on SME 5.6, it is not possible to share folders, ser permissions for users, etc, as you did on NT, it would be a desirable feature, since it can open SME to REPLACE some NT's and 2k's around.

As far as I understand permission controls "by default" are not as extensive as NT etc, but you can achieve similar ibay access contol using Groups, and making users members of various groups. It's all in the manual, so read !!
That way users will be allowed to access some ibays but not others. There is a 28 group limit though, so don't get carried away.
