Hi All ,
Insertion of "Corporate" disclaimers for all outgoing emails;
A search of the archives points that in order to automatically append a message to
a outgoing email one must add the patch to qmail.
Further, it seems that Mitel must supply qmail as is , and if one needs to add the ability to attach a disclaimer to an outgoing email , then the patch to qmail must be applied with a resulting re-compile (Not going into the legalese ).
Considering that email is such an intergral part of current society / corporates , would it not make sense to incorporate the ability to enter a "Company" disclaimer message from the Server manager panel to all out going emails.?
Yes one could also add a customised file to the clients Signature file ( as in outlook ect ) , but users tend to trash / change this.
Thoughts on this ?

it is not correct that qmail has to be patched and recompiled.
i installed an antivirus-contrib (avmailgate) an after that all emails have a signature like "email scanned by avmailgate, no virus found".
so there must be a template for this option...
cheers klaus

Thanks Klaus for the clarity.
Anyone know which template can be modified ?.

Most, if not all discalimers are not worth the electrons that add the spin. For every disclaimer I've read, I wonder what sort of idiot wrote it - it makes no real sense and has no legal validity - it's merely a paranoid and heavy handed management response - similar to the "all care, no responsibility taken" signs one sees at panel shops, car parks, ferry terminals and the like.

"Most, if not all discalimers are not worth the electrons ....."
Probably true , however if one needs to pander to the "paranoid and heavy handed management" that make such requests in order to further their paranoia.
Not withstanding the above , it would still be usefull to be able to tail a message to outgoing emails ?

I'd think that educating the paranoid & heavy handed management about the uselesness and annoyance of those inane text placibos are would be the more responsable, professionial, & preferred action.
*Can* it be done? Yes.
Should it be done? Probably not.
Does it have any value? Approximately that of a bucket of warm spit depending on your jurisdiction.
Does it have any costs? Yes - maintenance, annoyance, storage, placibo effect..
Best reponse? "No, our company knows those are trash and didn't want to make public fools of themselves".
