will samba 3 make its way to sme any time soon? and will their be better control over samba? ie. join a windows active directory

:-( have tried to upgrade samba to version 3.
after restart of samba as documented, nmb service fail to start also noted error in logs related to smb.conf entry's
It fail to start on fresh installed 6.0.1 release. currently making a backup of the date, restoring distro back to what it was. its is 34 gig of data.
WIll investigate with a test server why this is happening.

Sorry Guy's performed, upgrade documentation is a quick and dirty install of sambe, the smaba configuration has to be rewriten because some parameters are not ussed any more within samba 3 con file ( domain admin parameter is not known).
And the smb deamon does not restart any more
