Title: Bug report forum versus Bug Tracker reporting
Post by: raem on January 20, 2004, 02:37:59 PM
Dear All & contribs.org staff

So we now have a forum for Bug reporting and Confirmation
and we have a new Bug Tracker (on the new site) for reporting and viewing bugs.

Is the bug tracker meant to supercede the Bug forum or are they both meant to be used ?
What is the intended use of both and when should we use one or the other ?

This is really up to the community to decide.  Lets hear you sound off on what is important to you.  There are probably pro's and con's to both sides.

imho having both could be a good way. Using forums to talk about known or maybe new bugs. As the first step for users to see they arenĀ“t the first and to tell them it is or not a bug. And a bug tracker for the "pros"  and maybe other registered members to work with and maintain SME server.

just one more opinion
