Hi I need to be able to send emails to groups of people. I could do it by making groups consisting of the internal users but then for each external address I would need to create an internal account and externally forward it. With 20-30 groups needed it would all get too murky. Qmail's secuirty settings seem to prevent me from just creating an ~alias/.qmail-emailgroup.
any suggestions appreciated
cheers

Can you just use local or network address books?
For bigger e-mail distibution, I would look for mail-list management programs like EZLM or mailman. Both available for SME with how-to's

Thanks for the response Boris
Actually using ~/alias/.qmail-emailgroup works even though according to lifewithqmail.org it shouldnt so my problem seems to be solved.
You mentioned network email address books - this a need that I havent sorted out yet - are there some solutions that will work on SME ?
thanks again
cheers

Groupware solutions like TWIGGI maybe.
