From a business view it is very interesting to us the ibay's as a special client environment. But what I am missing is a easy tool to publish and administer a userfriendly website per ibay which specialised information for that sole client.
I am thinkink of an evironment that uses the ibays /html folder for acessing the website and the /files folder for keeping all relevant documents.
And a central administration site that should support:
1) adding/editing general company news and events
2) adding/editing client specific news and events
3) adding/updating client specific documents
The client website should give an overview of all the news-items and relevant documents which are downloadeble by clicking on it.
I know there are many possibilities wich standard portals but I wnat to make use of the already existing structure provided by ibay's. As this also is a great way to keep all client information/documentation well organized.
Does anyone know if there is such a solution already available? Other suggestions are also fine.

I think a portal software (CMS) or a groupware could be the thing for you.
There are several packages like :
- twiggi http://www.twiggi.org
- phpwebsite http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/
that could suite your needs.
Take a look at the http://no.longer.valid/mylinks/ and look out for twiggi.
Personaly I like the phpwebsite, use the search function on the contribs web to get som tips on howto...

Where is set of folders for access localy and via web (if enabled) and nothing else.
Where is NO other structure provided by ibay's.
Your application will have to make use of it.

Thanks for your feedback.
What I ment is that I want to store the proper client information in those Ibays. As I can manage authentication for an Ibay by the server console it is easy to add new clients. After adding a new Ibay (client environment) it should be nice if this also provides a "ready made" website in the /html directory that gives acces to files, documents, and news items specialized for that particular client. Management of this information should happen in an admin area that manages all clients.
Has anyone done this before?

Are you not looking for an extended indexer function like ModIndex.
Maybe I missed the point.
