Title: Problem adding printer

I just reinstalled my own server with 6.0 final and are now having big problems with the printer.
Whenever i add printer in the Server Manager results in a blank browser page, have to quit Lynx and access the Server Manager once more to see added printer.

Printer seems to be ok! when adding on winxp workstation (browsing network for printer). But it will not print.

Then i deleted the printer and again it was long response time and a stall on blank page. I returned to add printer again but got this:
"Error: An account with the same name exists with type:printer-deleted".

I tried instaling several times on vmware4 and the response time from browser is still long and it also stalls on blank page, same as above problem.

Hope that anyone can help.

Hi Kenneth!

I had the exactly the same problem and several others have also reported the same problem in this forums. My "solution" was to do a workaround with CUPS-printing.

Since I installed CUPS I have not experienced any problems with printing.  :-D

Just installed CUPS-printing,  :-D .
It all works fine now.

Me too. CUPS fixed it all, including the solution to print pdf files from any application.

Is there also a workaround without installing CUPS.

I have just posted a possible fix to the printer issue in the bugs section.  Please read the info and try to fix and let me know your results.  I will track this thread and the one in the bugs section.  Hopefully the fix will work for you.  Now, I get to enjoy a cold one. :pint:
