Title: problems with access to user directory via ftp
Post by: hordeusr on January 27, 2004, 08:27:48 PM
If I ftp into the userdirectory (for example testaccount)  I cannot add/delete files.  I must change the directory to home to add/delete files.  Is this just on my machine, or does anyone else have this problem with 6.0?
thanks,

Well thats good and bad I guess.  It's good because now I know my SME 6.0 install is working as it was designed.  It's bad because all my users cannot enable/disable their vacation message via the email system(horde/imp) like they have for the last year or so--it was possible with SME 5.1.2.  Anybody out there know how to change the configuration to allow write/delete access to the each users root directory via ftp?
thanks,

Found the file I needed to modify.  /etc/proftpd.conf.  Of course I had to make some custom templates.
