Post by: cyberdude on January 28, 2004, 08:45:08 PM
Hi!

I am having som minor trouble with my e-smith 5.6
Have postet a few posts at the forum for the last couple of days.

Now i am considering to start over but on e-smith 6.0
And wondering what is the best way of doing this....

Shoud i just do a update from 5.6 to 6.0 (if it even can be don this way)
or shoud i start from scratch instaling 6.0 at a fresh formated pc.

Note. i have about 20 domains and 60 mail boxes at the system.

I want to have a optimale system, becourse around May i get a new account in the system, having 2 domains and about 200 mail users......

If you guys means i shoud start at a fresh pc, can i then do a backup from the old server and put it in the new ?

Any help making this change as easy as posible are more than apriciatet

It's designed to work that way. Just do an upgrade from CD is always the easiest way to upgrade. Be sure to have a backup first, of course.
