Title: remote desktop and sme 6.0
Post by: mano2k1 on January 28, 2004, 11:10:10 PM
I've got a win2k3 server behind a sme server/gateway running 6.0. I forwarded the ports in 6.0 to the win2k3 server but I cannot access it using remote desktop from a remote site

Make sure that you have Terminal Services installed on your Windows 2K3 server in "remote admin mode" or if you have purchased TS CAL's then you can use "application mode".

In server-manager on your SME box using the "port Forwarding" panel create a TCP forward for port 3389 to the IP address of your internal Win2K3 server.

Title: VNC?
Post by: robert_from_au on February 19, 2004, 01:30:02 PM
We use TightVNC on the client and this:
https://3sp.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=29&osCsid=48a6a43f7b790efed3e749f56ad60e40
to establish a ssh connection to the server.
Click the VNC button. Type in the IP of the local machine. Your in.
Easy to use.
