Title: How to exclude a folder with flexbackup?
Post by: Ruben on January 29, 2004, 05:38:04 PM
Is it possible to set flexbackup to back up /boot and / but to exclude something like /home/e-smith/ibays/abc ? How would you do it?

My problem is that I don't want to do a daily full backup of the system. It takes a lot of time+cpu and currenty does not fit in my tape. In concrete I'd like to exclude an ibay which takes a lot of space and that should be backed up once in a month.

I'll appreciate any help.

So far I am happy with flexbackup and the advanced backup contrib. I perform backups to a scsi tape. Some day I may use an external scsi disk and make backups to disk, however if I keep on using flexbackup (as I'd like to keep the system simple) I'd still need to exclude that ibay.

kind regards,

Ruben
