I understand that, when using winbindd together with samba on a Linux-server, it SHOULD be possible to set it up so that a certain user (already existing on the samba-server) logging in from a XP Pro workstation automatically given "power user" rights on that particular workstation (without actually having to add a new local account on the XP box for that user).
1. Can anyone confirm if this would be possible?
2. Anyone out there who worked with anything similar on a SME???

You would always make a group on your domain Directory, add this group to the machine (we add to every machine) and then add/remove users to that group - best practise, far easier to manage UNforseeable situations.
I imagine group policies could handle this?
