Title: vpn w2k domain
Post by: ccarey on February 03, 2004, 03:50:05 PM
Hi,
I have a win2k active directory domain sitting behind an E-Smith 6.03 server used as a filter and gateway.
I would like to be able to vpn in to my win2k server from a remote computer, but I am not sure the best way to go about it. Sould I vpn to the E-smith, how then do I connect to my Win2k domain? Or can I forward pptp requests to my Win2k server?
I have successfully vpn'ed into E-smith but I wasn't able to browse my domain or authenticate to it.

All help is greatly appreciated.
Chris C.

the way I do it is by running VNC on a workstation in the domain.  After I connect the vpn, I too can not browse the domain but I can connect to the workstation using VNC. If I need to move files, the host workstation has wsftp installed and I use that to send them.
