Title: Did Mitel also GPL their Blades?
Post by: Anonymous on February 04, 2004, 02:12:26 PM
Hi Folks,

Just wondering if Mitel also has released their Blades into the wild?  I've heard that their Fax blade was very good especially as it relates to the sending of faxes.

I've had http://www.chaloner.ca/ implementation of Hylafax working great on receiving faxes but the setting up of a new Fax Client on each users PC was something I was trying to avoid.  I heard that Mitel's blade was more Browser based for sending faxes then having to have a new client installed.

Thanks,

Craig

Hi Folks,

I found this product on sourceforge that looks like it might hold some promise. Print a document to a special printer port and it goes to Hylafax.  I'll try it over the next couple of days once I get Hylafax up and running.  Found a few references to the product by googling but do definitive thumbs up or down.

Hi,

Just giving an update on the winprinthylafax product.  It works and is easy to use....the two thinks my users like.   I know there are more feature rich products out there put this is easy to install, simple to understand and works.

my .02 cents

There is someone who made a fax plug in for e-smith. It's an upgrade to the old fax how-to that was on here.

You can find the link below. It uses Hylafax also.

That was a procmail script written by Lee Howard from the hylafax team and really hacked up in an attempt to get it to work with SME.

Doesnt really run all that well with qmail - especially whan using amavis and SA (The headers seem to mess things up)

I would avoid it.
