Title: Nou routing via ISDN

Sorry to keep  :hammer: ing on about this but...

As soon as I take down the modem and install the ISDN adapter, SME v6.x dials out and everything goes fine except that I can no longer route-to/ping anything outside of the LAN.  TinyDNS provides the IP but no ping or trace is returned, I cannot reach any website outside the LAN with HTTP and Qmail cannot ETRN mail from my backup mailserver.  

Does anyone here run ISDN and has had the same or similar problems?  Having just installed ISDN to use SME, I could really use some help on this one.

Is your ISDN adapter internal or external?

I don't know about an internal adapter, but I happily used ISDN (BT business highway) with a Cisco 770 series for many months - you just need two network cards.

How about giving us the contents of route and ifconfig when the connection is made.

You sure its not a problem with your ISP.

I have two internal cards, one of them an old BIPAC and the other the BT/FRITZ card I bought specially, and also I have the highway box's external USB adapter.  The only one I can get to 'work' (sort of) is the old cheapo BIPAC.

This is definately a problem , I can confirm with a fresh installation that using an internal isdn card does not allow nat to work. Changing the dialup to any external modem and nat works fine , I supect that the iptables rules are not being built correctly. I think I will file a bug report.

Ihave an tried an iternal bt/fritz card but no success. I currently use a hayes accura isdn terminal adapter has it actually has the facility to limit the bandwidth to 64kbps on external dill switches to limit one channel only as my isp will only allow single chanel on a payed account but dual channel on 128kbps standard rate calls this applys with most uk isp's

In which mode are using SME and why the need for an additional NIC?

Dean, can you please add yourself to the Cc list on bug 1740, and help me to fix this problem?
