Title: backup ibay to ibay
Post by: malden on February 05, 2004, 11:18:20 PM
Anyone suggest an easy way to schedule a backup of one ibay to another ibay on a second SME server? backup2ws doesn't seem to work, as it keeps coming up with invalid share name.

Thanks!

I would troubleshoot and try to make work first as this most logical (and easy) way of doing it.
If you give up and decide try something else, dungog's rsync package may be something of interest.

Have a look at Dungog Rsync Backup. It allows you to backup remote ibays and even has a panel to allow scheduling. The beauty of rsync backup is that it only backs up the data that has been modified. This can save mega bandwith on extremely large ibays. You can get more info here: http://www.dungog.net/sme/help/index.html?page=smehelp/backup.html
