Title: Didn't go to config after install
Post by: David A.McKelvie on July 21, 2001, 03:59:09 PM
I have just installed e-smith V4.1 from a cover CD. After installation and first re-boot, instead of coming up with the initial config screen, it just goes to standard Linux localhost login.

Help?

P.S. I've just installed it on a machine that was running Smoothwall.

If you go to www.e-smith.org, there's information posted about this problem and how to work around it.

Thanks but I've scoured the site (with search it's difficult) :-((

Any clues?

I assume you are referring to the UK Linux Format Cover Disk - if so, the relevant links are: -

It's on the front page of www.e-smith.org, center column, second box down.

If you check the developer's website, then you will find a link that explains that there was a CD issued by a magazine that does not work - Just in case, the link below may be able to help
