Title: Port Forwarding problems
Post by: kerjenski01 on February 11, 2004, 12:21:54 PM
I have SME 6.0 installed and when trying to port forward to another computer within my network it doesn't.
Could there be a permanent error of is there something I can do to re-install the port forwarding option.

I would rather find a way of re-installing without damaging my current system as it has Dansguardian installed and setup.

I wanted to forward any port, to an IP address behind the firewall so that emails could be viewed.

I don't think you should need port forwarding to see e-mails!  SOunds more like the accounts aren't working properly!

Are you attempting to forward a port on the private interface? Be aware that port-forwarding, by design, will only forward ports from the external interface.

More detail please. What are you trying to do?
