Post by: shanen on February 15, 2004, 10:51:10 AM
Has anybody had any sucess with creating server based address books outside of the default directory that SME creates?

Thanks

I used to content myself by using ldapadd to add additional (non users) to the standard directory. I'd modify or remove them in a batch process each couple of weeks.

This worked well up to 5.6. Under 6.0 this no longer works and give a permission error when I try.

Thanks Walter,
I remember a howto floating about that would allow you to add non SME users to the directory but the page is not available anymore.
Looks like I am going to have to lurk around in the OpenLDAP forums.

Thanks
