Title: Virtual CD Server
Post by: Alcheam on July 23, 2001, 07:09:34 PM
Would like to know how to setup a virtual CD Server, whereby the contents of each CD is stored on the hard disk as a virtual CD-ROM drive.  Purpose is to share all my CDs on the Network without having to load CDs on the on shared CD-ROM drive each time the CD is needed.  Am a linux newbie and would appreciate a how-to instruction befitting a newbie.
Thanks.

Alex,

there is a HOWTO on this at
http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/CDServer-HOWTO/index.html

Whilst this is not specifically for e-smith, it's quite generic and all the bits are included in e-smith.
