Title: Assigning public ip to selected local lan ip
Post by: AnythingBut on February 17, 2004, 11:32:49 PM
Hi:

I have a strange requirement whereby, (very few) transient users require a public addressable ip for their VPN (Checkpoint in particular). Following is the network configuration:

Ext VPN Svr --- Internet --- ISP Router --- SME6.0 -- User PC

The SME6.0 server is in Server/Gateway mode and is serving 10.6.17.x private ips. In certain cases the user pc requires a public ip (which we have a pool) for establishing a vpn tunnel.

Can someone please guide me in the right direction to see how we can assign (route) the user pc to the public ip.

Thanks

Anil

Maybe NAT 1:1 contrib will help.

At the risk of sounding naive, could you point me to the 1:1 Nat contrib..

Thanks
