Title: 6.0 /etc/dhcpd.conf file
Post by: sander on February 18, 2004, 02:30:41 PM
my client pc-s can't get a dhcp lease from server.
Gives out erors in dhcpd.conf line 15 and 16 whitch are as follows:

ddns-update-style interim;
ignore client-updates;

I commented them out, restarted dhcp and no errors occured, havent yet tested client machines ( because i am not at location)

could anyone tell me why these line are important?
should i uncomment them?

thanks for any help

My dhcpd.conf does not have those lines so I'd say it's safe to comments them out. Keep in mind though that the template will eventually rewrite the configuration.
