Title: SME 6 and Windows XP - administrator access 4 software apps
Post by: sttje02 on February 18, 2004, 09:44:42 PM
Hello everyone,
My co-worker and I have recently setup an SME-6 box to be our domain controller for a crossed            Win-XP/MacOS-X network at a children's tech center.  We are looking for a way to utilize roaming profiles and give each student's account either power user or administrator access to the machine he/she is on in order to use our Lego MindStorms software (which appears to require admin access).
Any help anyone can offer on this would be great!!
Thanks!

If you have a small number of computers ie: less than 10 and a small number of users.

Add all the users to each machine on the domain as an administrator.

Or you can give admin rights to anyone who logs on by:

net localgroup "administrators" interactive /add

I found that adding all the users to each machine was easier.
