Title: Dual NIC
Post by: roballen on February 23, 2004, 12:17:59 PM
Hello

Has anyone experienced using a dual NIC PCI card in an e-smith/mitel server?

I have an EPIA board, which only has one PCI slot. The onboard NIC, which was used for the LAN, has failed.

A dual NIC in the only available PCI slot would save me from having to trash the board.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

Hi

Would it be possible to tell me the model number of the 3Com card which you are using? The 3Com range is huge.

Thanks

Rob

I've got a Compaq dual ethernet (uses Intel chips) PCI adapter in my SME 6 server (built around an Asus CUW-FX with no onboard ethernet) and it works great.  Don't have the part #, but I bought it off eBay for $20 shipped.

Hi

I´m using a EPIA 5000 and other 800 as SME servers with no problem.

What happened with your NIC... isn´t working or you can get it working on SME?

I can help you...same config here: SME w/2 NIC (internal + RTL8029 for ADSL router!)
