Title: Login.bat on 6.0
Post by: ansentry on February 25, 2004, 10:24:27 PM
I have 5.6 running with login script in the Server Manager. The login script I use works fine.

I am about to install 6.0. Is there an rpm for 6.0 that will allow login script to be added to Server Manager.

If there is no rpm for 6.0 then any help how I can run my login scripts, would be appreciated.

Login script is located at:
/home/e-smith/files/samba/netlogon/netlogon.bat
Use "pico" to edit.
eg pico /home/e-smith/files/samba/netlogon/netlogon.bat

Hope this helps

Before you upgrade to SME6.0final I would make a copy of your /etc/passwd, /etc/group, /etc/smbpasswd, /etc/secrets.tdb /home/netlogon/netlogon.bat files and /etc/samba directory.  Put it in your /root directory, as this is restored from a backup.  The login script is wiped out regardless of how you upgrade.  Your passwd and group files could be wiped clean of machine names needed to login to the domain.
