Seems to me that when running rblsmtpd, local addresses are checked against the various rbl sites as well as external addresses.
This occasionally causes timeouts (on the mail client) to occur when sending mail. Does anyone know how to get around this? I assumed that the entries in tcp.smtp would take care of this - however I always see connections to the sites I have set up in rblsmtpd.conf through my firewall when anyone on the lan sends an e-mail.
Currently running e-smith-mailfront-1.0.0-02rbl.noarch.rpm

Hello,
Where did you get the RPM for that, and how do you activate it? I read in another post that it takes a db property entry.
Thanks,
JB

The change log for mailfront in SME6:
rpm -q --changelog e-smith-mailfront-1.3.0-11 |more
Shows the following:
* Tue Aug 19 2003 Charlie Brady <charlieb@e-smith.com>
- [1.3.0-08]
- Add support for rblsmtpd (enabled by db property) [charlieb 9746]
I don't know what the db property is though.
