Title: Additional writable LDAP directory
Post by: haj on March 03, 2004, 05:42:52 AM
Hi,

Many times this question has been asked in the forums with no answer.

How can I add an other ldap directory that can be modified by any authentificated user (or group of users) and that can be readable by anyone ?

Has anyone have the answer ?

cheers

If you are after a shared address book, then forget it. As I understand, Openldap will not support additions from email clients. Please let me know otherwise.

Thanks

I can't believe there is no one here that knows how to provide adress book sharing on a linux server such as SME !
Is that true ?

This does seem a bit crazy, the sme server has everything apart from this and is what most people would be looking for as a complete swap for an exchange box.

There must be some way of doing it?!?
